Color Wheel

Color is how we perceive light of different wavelengths. The Traditional Color Wheel uses Red, Yellow, and Blue as primary colors. On the other hand, the CMY Color Wheel uses Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow as primary colors. RYB is used in art, while CMY is used in printing. I learned that photoshop can produce all the colors from just cyan, magenta, and yellow. I want my audience to notice how cute my dog looks.

Color harmonies are combinations of colors that create pleasing visual effects based on their relationships on the color wheel. I used triadic, complementary, and monochromatic harmonies in my designs, but my monochromatic mandala stands out the most. By focusing on variations of a single color, from light tints to dark shades, I was able to create a unified and subtle visual flow. Using different values of the same color helped highlight the intricate details and depth of the piece, allowing the audience to notice all the nuances within the design. This approach gave the mandala a balanced feel while showcasing the beauty of the color in various forms.
